2009 Suzuki SX4 DIY Oil Change Video.wmv
It was time for our 2009 Suzuki SX4 to get its oil changed. Before starting I went to the local auto parts store for a filter and oil. The owner's manual says an oil and filter change requires 4.7 quarts, so I bought five quarts of the recommended 5w30. I added four initially, ran the motor to circulate the new oil, then checked the dipstick. I needed to add just over a half-quart to bring the level up to the full mark. The oil filter sits very close to the catalytic converter on this car, so you can't do this with the exhaust system even remotely hot. I would have had an easier time of it if I had an oil filter wrench that grabbed the end of the filter instead of the band type I had in my toolbox. There simply isn't much space to work in there. That said, it's all very doable.
